SAD PASSING OF ONE OF OUR CLUB STALWARTS - CRAWFORD PRIMROSE

The Saints rugby family are saddened to hear of the passing of Crawford Primrose.

Crawford arrived at Park Farm in the role of mini rugby coach when his son Stewart took up the game. Once Stewart moved thro’ the youth section Crawford returned to the mini section, a very rare occurrence, to coach another cohort thro’ the minis in his own inimitable style.

Crawford was educated at Glasgow Academy but he was never happier than when one of his Saints mini squads won a trophy at the Accies mini tournament!

After coaching a group from P4-7, many of which still playing in the seniors at the club, Crawford was always on the touch line supporting the team. He still gave coaching advice to the seniors and offered his opinion to the committee on many occasions on ways the club could continue to develop!

A very valued volunteer member and friend to many at Park Farm. The type of club man that would go above and beyond for Dumfries Saints in any capacity without the need to be asked.

Saints thoughts are with Aileen, Stewart, Jenny and the extended family at this difficult time.

Rest easy Crawford.

We have been asked to let our followers know that Crawford’s funeral and celebration of his life will take place at Rouchan Loch Crematorium on Tuesday 30th January at 11am.

Followed by a small gathering with refreshments at the Somerton Hotel in Lockerbie.

Family flowers only please. However as many of you know, Crawford loved his dogs and one of his wishes was for donations, if possible, for Dumfries and Galloway Canine Rescue.
